The Lord is the everlasting God,
The creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can
fathom.
He gives strength to the weary
29He gives
power to the faint and weary, and to him who has no might He increases strength
[causing it to multiply and making it to abound].
30Even
youths shall faint and be weary, and [selected] young men shall feebly stumble
and fall exhausted;
31But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun]; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired.
31But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun]; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired.
Amplified Bible
(AMP)
Ada, I love the Amplified Version. It gives every verse in Scripture such depth and clarity. I love that the Lord wants us to mount up close to Him. How encouraging! Thanks for this post.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Sherry, for stopping by. I don't give this blog enough attention. Yes, the Lord wants us to draw close to Him. I often think about the scriptures in Philippians 4 to think on good things, thanking God before we give him our requests. The section is preceded by "The Lord is near."
