My book, "Death: Swallowed by Life," will be published soon. The book talks about the miracle of life, and the wonder of coming from an egg no larger than the dot at the end of this sentence. Also, when we think about our bodies and who we are, we realize we're more than a body.
How we arrived on earth is as astounding as the miracle of leaving our bodies here and our spirits going to heaven.
Two weeks ago, my wonderful older brother passed away. So sad to see a body we loved put into the ground. By faith we know he lives, as Jesus said we could do if we accept Him as Savior. Yet, I loved his body as well. Scripture says the saints who are with Jesus will come back with Him when He catches away the church:
"But I would not have you to be ingnorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will not prevent them which are asleep.
"For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of Go; and the dead in Christ shall rise first;
"Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
"Wherefore, ciomfort one another with these words" (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18).
